From our start in raising good solid pups for our local hunters and families, we have come to appreciate the uniqueness of our breed as being so very versatile. We have tried to tailor our breeding program to bring the "old time" working retriever back. Let's face it our dogs are gun dogs and/or hunt test dogs only when the seasons are on. The rest of the time they are our family members. They have to gentle temperments and quiet attitudes when around our kids or in our homes. The other factor is confirmation/good looks. Let's face it, you can feed good looking dog just as easy as an ugly one.
